The WooCommerce POS Thermal Printer plugin allows a POS user to integrate and use a thermal printer in their POS store.
Easily connect multiple POS printers globally to the same single server.
Consequently, the POS agent can use any of the available printers to print receipts when needed at different locations.
Note: To use this plugin, you must first have the WooCommerce point of sale system installed.

The user will get a zip file for the WooCommerce POS Thermal Printer plugin that they have to upload to the “Add new” menu option in the WordPress admin panel.
To do this, login to the WordPress Admin Panel and under the dashboard hover over the “Plugins” menu option which opens the sub-menu, then select “Add new plug-in” option.
After that, you will see an option at the top of your page which is “Load plugin”. Click the option to upload the zip file.
By clicking on “Load plugin” option, below that you will see a button “Select File”. Click on the button to search the zip file according to the screenshot below.
After browsing the file, click on “Install Now” button to install the plugin according to the screenshot.
Now that the plugin has been installed correctly, you will see a success message and an option to activate the plugin. In the future, click on “Activate plugin” to activate the installed plugin.
The administrator must update the socket settings so that the printer is visible to the sockets.
The administrator can also select a default thermal printer here.
Administrator configuration – thermal printer
After the installation is complete, the administrator can configure the settings of the POS thermal printer. They must pass Point of sale > Settings > Thermal printer.
The administrator will enter several settings here.
Invoice configuration
Automatic printing of the confirmation – The administrator can enable the option of automatic receipt printing.
Ruler separator – Admin can select ruler separator character from drop down option. Various ruler dividers are available in the section.
Invoice logo status – Enable or disable account logo status.
Invoice logo – Upload your logo image here.
SSL server keys
SSL certificate keys – Enter the SSL certificate key of the server.
SSL private keys – Enter the server’s SSL private keys.
Note –
- SSL keys will be different for different servers.
- This is not intended for HTTP.
Download the desktop app
An administrator can use this extension on their device after installing the application separately for Windows, Linux and Darwin OS.
Windows OS
Click the ZIP, EXE or MSI button to download the application to your Windows system. After clicking the button the file will be downloaded to your system.
When you download the exe file, the file will be directly downloaded to the system.
OS Linux
Similarly, an administrator can download the application to their Linux OS.
Then extract the Zip file on your system.
Now right click on Run.sh file and go to permission option.
Once the execute permission is enabled, the administrator can run the application on their system.
DarwinOS
Similarly, an administrator can install an Apple desktop application in Darwin OS.
Once the Zip is installed, unzip it and open it.
Click on the icon to open and the process will start in the background.
After the application is installed, the administrator can check the icon on the home screen.
Click on the application, the application will open in your Darwin OS.
After the application is installed, the administrator can configure the application settings.
The administrator will enter the domain URL or IP address and port number.
The administrator needs to click on the connect button to connect the application to the server port.
Click on the printer option to check connected printers and connect new ones.
Check the log setting in the application and download or clear all logs from the POS thermal application.
After clicking the download button, the log file will be downloaded to your system.
Check the log file directly on your system with every detail of the POS thermal printer application.
If the administrator wants to delete the log, he can simply click the delete button and the log will be deleted from the application.
Once the application is configured, the POS agent can open the POS panel and use it. I can login to the POS and connect the printers.
Click on the printer icon to connect the printer. After the printer is connected, you will receive a message about the success of the printer.
You can also check added printers from here by clicking on the icon.
A POS agent can set any printer as its default printer.
Now the customer can add any product to the cart and proceed with checkout.
Once the order is placed, the print request will be automatically sent to the thermal printer.
The POS agent can also view order history and print a receipt by clicking a button for any order.
I can also get a hard copy of the invoice from a thermal printer that can be stored as documentation for the company.
