Webkul Wallet Management: Trade Credit

We have introduced a new feature in the Webkul wallet management application, which is Store credit. With the store credit feature, the admin can now set the cashback validity to the cashback amount and can choose whether to prioritize wallet balance or store credit when ordering.

For this the administrator must enable store credit configuration. To enable it, admin must visit Webkul Wallet Management home page >> Configuration >> Store Credit >> Enable >>Save. Once you enable it, you cannot disable it.

Window for enabling store credit.

Note – Once you have enabled the Store Credit setting, you cannot disable it in the future. And the refund amount will be managed under store credit.

Trade credit priority

After enabling trade credit, we came to the trade credit priority page. From here we can decide on the trade credit priority.

Here we offer two options:

Priority set to admin

Note – This is only compatible when “Choose a method for your clients to use the wallet” is set to “Method of payment“.

The store’s credit priority is set to Admin

Among the options, if we choose Administrator, then the Administrator can decide that when placing an order, priority will be given to Wallet Balance or Store Credit.

Priority set on the customer

If we choose from the priority decisions section The customer. Then the customer can choose the priority to use the wallet from the front.

Note– From “Choose the method your customers will use the wallet” if we choose “Type of discount” as a way of using the wallet. Then, in this case, the “Use store credit amounts” check box appears on the cart page. From here, the customer can use the store credit amount to purchase the product.

If the price of the product is equal to or less than the store credit balance, then the money will be deducted from the store credit.

But if the store credit balance is less than the product price then the entire store credit balance will be deducted and the remaining amount will be charged from the wallet.

For example, if the store credit balance is $10 and the product sale price is $100, then $10 will be deducted from the store credit and the remaining $90 will be deducted from the wallet.

Moreover, Admin can now decide the time period for which the refund will be valid. This means that the store credit balance will expire after a certain period of time.

For this admin has to set refund validity from refund policy configuration.
