The iPhone 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max series come with a graphene sheet to solve the heating problem

The iPhone 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max series comes with a graphene plate to solve the overheating problem

iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max had heating problems. For the 16 series, Apple is considering using graphene in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max to improve heat dissipation from the phone’s processor

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max could feature a graphene panel to address potential overheating issues, according to a recent report.

Rumor has it that successors to the iPhone 15 Pro could see improvements in heat dissipation by incorporating graphene instead of the current graphite pads. Apple has faced serious criticism with its current flagships due to the lower thermal conductivity of the titanium bezel compared to the stainless steel bezel, and these issues have been partially addressed with the iOS 17 update.

According to a report from PhoneArena, Apple is considering using graphene in the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max to improve heat dissipation from the phone’s processor. The graphene material is expected to help dissipate heat away from the chip, resulting in a reduction in the handset’s temperature.

Researchers reveal that iPhone apps are secretly collecting user data through notifications

This is not the first time rumors have circulated about Apple’s interest in incorporating graphene into its smartphones. In November, an X leaker suggested that the successors to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max would have a graphene thermal system. Additionally, there are speculations that Apple will use a metal bracket to house the phone’s battery.

The iOS 17.0.3 update was released weeks before these rumors addressed overheating issues affecting the iPhone 15 Pro models. Apple has admitted that heating issues are present in its latest phones, attributing them to app optimization issues and software bugs.

Although the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected in the third quarter of 2024, these reports suggest that Apple is continuously making efforts to address the heat issues in its flagship devices.

However, given the time frame and the development of technology, it is advised to approach these rumors with caution.

Apple could choose to use graphene or explore alternatives like vapor cooling chambers found in some high-end Android smartphones. More details about the iPhone 16 series will emerge in the coming months.
