The partnership further simplifies compliance pipelines with the Secure Container Image Registry
WILMINGTON, Del., April 2, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Second Front Systems (2F), a public benefit software company focused on facilitating the delivery of mission-critical software solutions, today announced a strategic partnership with Chainguard, a leading software supply chain security company. This partnership will provide 2F’s clients with access to a custom registry of secure, minimal tank images, accelerating their accreditation journey as they seek to serve government end users.
The tank image registry provided by Chainguard will be available as part of 2F’s Game Warden platform, allowing users to seamlessly access and integrate these secure tank images into their software. Chainguard images, which have more than 97% fewer vulnerabilities than those available on the current market, reduce the burden on engineering teams who must mitigate hundreds of vulnerabilities per open source image.
“As a leading source of secure open source software, we pride ourselves on ensuring our images receive updates and patches at the speed demanded by evolving threats,” he said. Dan Lorenz, CEO and co-founder of Chainguard. “We look forward to joining Second Front in its mission to deliver new technologies to the US government and its allies, providing our customers with access to our inventory of secure, minimal container images with far fewer vulnerabilities.”
This first-of-its-kind partnership will power 2F’s Game Warden platform, which delivers commercial SaaS technology to the government with built-in accreditation. The offer will eliminate the use of vulnerable images during integration and ensure an easier accreditation process for 2F’s clients.
“Chainguard shares our mission to accelerate the delivery of secure software, making it an ideal partner to provide our customers with the cleanest image registry available on the market,” he said. Tyler Sweatt, executive director of the company 2F. “Using the registry, Second Front customers can spend more time developing and implementing critical solutions in line with industry standards.”
On Wednesday, April 3, Tyler Sweatt and Dan Lorenz will hold a 30-minute live webcast to discuss the partnership and the value of rapidly delivering secure, best-in-class software solutions to the US government and its allies. Register here to join the conversation.
