Redpanda announced a fully managed version of its streaming platform, allowing developers to get up and running faster and not have to worry about infrastructure management as they scale up.
Redpanda Serverless allows developers to easily spin up new streaming clusters, which they can then use to build applications.
The company offers integrations with a number of different services, including AWS Lambda, MongoDB Atlas Stream Processing, SingleStore and TiDB.
It offers benefits such as the ability to leverage the Kafka ecosystem, an easy-to-use dashboard, and instant integration.
“Designed from the ground up for massive multitasking, speed and performance, Redpanda Serverless is the most cost-effective and easiest way to get started streaming, whether you’re an indie developer just starting out or an expert in a large enterprise looking to absorb spikes and scale to zero during downtime,” said Alex Gallego, CEO and founder of Redpanda.
Redpanda Serverless comes as a 14-day free trial, after which it is available with a pay-as-you-go pricing model.
Along with this new serverless offering, Redpanda also offers a standalone business version and an open source version.
