Microsoft 365 isn’t available for some, but the problem seems limited in scope

DownDetector shows that Microsoft 365 is down for some, with problems first appearing in the early hours of the morning EST, with reports running about ten times the normal …

Baseline is around 360 reports per hour and peaked at 4500, and is still just above 3000 at the time of writing.

User reports indicate possible problems in Microsoft 365.

Microsoft 365, formerly Office 365, includes subscription plans that allow use of the Microsoft Office software suite for the duration of the subscription, as well as cloud-based software-as-a-service products for business environments, such as hosted Exchange Server, Skype for Business Server, and SharePoint, among others .

Some other applications and services have also seen an unusually high number of reports for some time, pointing to possible problems within servers used by multiple companies, either within Microsoft itself or externally.

While a 1000% increase in reports certainly indicates problems, the absolute levels are still relatively low, so it’s likely that only a small percentage of users are affected.
