Magento 2 Guide Sign in with your Apple ID

The Magento 2 Sign In with Apple ID extension allows users to sign in to their site using their Apple ID.

Like signing in with Facebook and Gmail, you can now easily and securely sign in with your Apple account.

An administrator has the authority to allow their customers to sign in or register using their existing Apple ID.

  • This module allows users to sign in to their account using their Apple ID.
  • An administrator can enable or disable a customer from signing into their account using an Apple account.
  • The store admin can also select pages to display Apple’s login button.
  • Admin can also customize login button title.

Installation is very simple like standard Magento 2 extensions.

#1 downloadable module

First you need to login to Webkul Store, go to My account>My purchased products section, confirm and then download and extract the contents of this zip folder on the system.

#2 Load the folder

Once the zip module is extracted, follow the path src>application and then transfer application folder in Adobe Commerce Cloud root directory on the server as shown below:

#3 Run commands

After loading the module folder, you need to run the following commands in the Magento 2 root directory:

php bin/magento setup:upgrade
php bin/magento setup:di:compile
php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
php bin/magento indexer:reindex
php bin/magento cache:flush

Multilingual configuration

So, for multilingual support, go to Store > Configuration > General > Local Options. Also, select your preferred language from Locality option.

Therefore, a multilingual configuration can be made in this way.

For Magento 2 Audio Player translation, go to the following path in your system src/app/code/Webkul/SignInWithApple/i18n.
Open the file named en_US.CSV to edit as shown in the image below.

Now transfer it to the track src/app/code/Webkul/Sign in with Apple/i18n where the Magenta 2 installation is on the server. The module is translated into the desired language.

After editing and translating the CSV file, you need to save the translated file name according to your region language and country code, such as – of_OF.CSV.

After that, upload the translated file to the same folder from which you downloaded it. Now your module translation is complete.

Therefore, language translation can be done in this way.

Initial Configuration – Magento 2 Sign in with your Apple ID

Note: A store administrator must have an Apple developer account.

After installing the extension, the administrator will configure the module settings by going to the Control Panel > Sign in with Apple > Configuration according to the picture below:

  • Status: A store administrator can enable or disable Apple ID sign-in.
  • Button title: Admin can customize login button title.
  • Apple Team ID: Here the administrator enters the Apple Team ID.
  • Client ID: Here the administrator enters the client ID.
  • Redirect URL: Here the admin enters the redirect URL.
  • Show Apple login buttons on: This is where the administrator selects the pages to display signing with the Apple ID button.

After entering the details, the administrator will save the configuration.

This is the user login page. Here, the customer can sign in using their Apple ID.

Customers can also sign in with their Apple ID during checkout using their Apple Account.

After clicking on Sign in with your Apple ID a pop-up window will appear. You must enter your mobile phone number here. or email id.

You will receive an OTP on your email id or mobile number.

After entering the OTP, click on Continue.

You have now successfully registered and logged into your account using your Apple ID in the Magento 2 store.

You can check your account information at My Account section.
