Guide to closing an OpenCart store

OpenCart store closing extension helps the store admin to display store closing and opening information to customers.

Customers will see the message along with the opening time of the store if the admin enables the permissions for the same. Administrator can set separate trading times per day.

• Admin can set save time from back panel.
• The customer will see the store opening time with the store closing status.
• The administrator can add the opening and closing times of the store per day.
• I can choose different times for each day separately.
• Admin can choose permission to display store opening time on front end.

First, extract the downloaded zip file. After that, open the corresponding Opencart version folder. According to the OpenCart version installed on your system.

Then transfer admin and catalog to the root directory of Opencart.

After that go to System > Users > User groups. And then edit ‘Administrator‘.

Select the displayed check boxes for Permission to access, Modify permissions, and Save it.

Now go to Extensions > Extensions > Modules. Find Store Close Connector from the list. Click on Install button as seen in the screenshot below.

Navigation through Extensions->Extensions->Modules-> Shop Close and edit it.

The administrator must make the following settings to enable the module.

Status: Enable or disable the module from here.

time zone – Select the time zone for your store according to your local time.

Description – The administrator will enter a message about closing the shop here or add a title for it.

Trade time – The administrator can enter separate trade times for a particular day.

Accept here: If the option is enabled, added times will be displayed to users.

The customer will open the store website and will find the store closing message and time because of this OpenCart store closing extension.

If the administrator disables the permission to accept here from the background, the customer will see a message to close the store, and there is no mention of opening times.

Note – The module only displays today’s opening and closing times as per administrator permission.
