ALBUQUERQUE, NM, April 1, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Cinnafilm Inc., of Albuquerque NM, today announced a revolutionary new feature for its PixelStrings media transformation products. Building on Cinnafilm’s innovative image processing technology and the robust media processing power of PixelStrings, the upcoming revision introduces a revolutionary feature: transforming ever-changing color palettes and pacing video sequences into rich, musical compositions.
Using advanced algorithms, PixelStrings enhanced AI will analyze video content in real time, extracting musical themes and synthesizing instrumental notes and vocal harmonies from the colors and shapes that dominate each frame. The tempo of the montage – marked by cuts, fades and dissolves – will dictate the rhythm of the generated music, creating a synchronized audio-visual symphony. Particularly innovative is the method by which the cadence of the frame rate affects the percussive elements, from energetic dance rhythms to slower trance.
Lance Maurer, CEO of Cinnafilm, says he expects this reinvention of PixelStrings to be a key force in the growing genre of “Gregorian K-Pop Grunge,” a modern underground music style that fuses ancient chants with modern pop sensibilities and grunge textures. Maurer says, “Gregorian K-Pop Grunge is definitely the sweet spot, but the system also threw out tunes that sound more like Baroque Hip Hop Trance to me.”
This AI-powered iteration of PixelStrings not only creates music from video content, but also introduces a spatio-temporal listening continuum, allowing synthetic music not only to be experienced in 2D (stereo) or 3D (immersive) environments, but also in 4D. “The inclusion of the 4D feature,” added Maurer, “will free the listener from the usual time constraints that we’re all trapped in. So not only can you listen to tomorrow’s music today, you can listen to today’s music last week or last century. It’s a journey.” Future releases are expected to integrate quantum computing, allowing listeners to experience tracks anywhere in the multiverse.
“Why did we do that?” Maurer asks. “We just wanted to let our development team have some fun. At the end of the day, that’s how it is April 1st.”
