Bitwarden releases Magic Links API to enable passwordless authentication in applications

Bitwarden is trying to help usher in a passwordless future by releasing its magic link API in Passwordless.dev. This new magic link authentication will allow developers to add passwordless authentication to their apps.

Using the API, developers can have their apps send a one-time link (“magic link”) to users that can be used to log in.

According to Bitwarden, these magic links help reduce the risk of credential theft and unauthorized access.

They also have other advantages, such as easier integration for new users, faster account recovery and a better user experience.

The API is currently available to all free, professional and business users. The free plan includes up to 100 magic link sends per month, and Pro and Enterprise offer up to 1000 magic link sends per month.
