MCS has launched the Resource Mobile app for iOS and Android. The MCS Resource mobile app gives technicians and drivers on the road the ability to complete their tasks through the mobile app, providing feedback to rental controllers in the back office.
The new app has been revamped giving MCS users the ability to track where resources are throughout the day. Rental controllers now not only know when a job has started, but can also track job progress, including when their resources are active or when they’ve arrived on site.
“The new Resource Mobile app has immediate benefits, if only for the fact that it is now available on both iOS and Android devices, but a huge benefit comes from the added visibility of resources on the road. When it comes to ad-hoc planning, having more granular visibility into job status is a game-changer,” said Josh Lewis, president of MCS USA.
The new app also includes a number of additional features to support the rental process, including custom checklists and the ability to send SMS alerts to users to let them know when a driver or technician is on the way.
“Feedback from our users is that they have been able to improve customer service, giving their customers clear and accurate updates on technician status,” Lewis said.
The MCS Resource Mobile app is available for download in the App Store and Play Store.
