Pluralsight creates AI sandboxes that allow developers to safely experiment with AI

Pluralsight, a technology workforce development company, has introduced AI sandboxes, interactive environments that developers can use to experiment and learn about AI in an engaging and safe way.

These sandboxes are equipped with pre-configured cloud AI services, generative AI notebooks and a set of large language models (LLM). This setup aims to enable users to experiment with AI technologies in a safe space, helping organizations save time and resources, reduce costs, and mitigate the risks associated with setting up their own experimental environments.

Using AI cloud sandboxes, employees can launch a live sandbox session on Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud to practice skills using the cloud provider’s AI services. Users can save time, money and resources by provisioning their own AI sandboxes without the need for separate cloud provider accounts.

Despite the enormous potential that AI holds, there is a noticeable lack of deep AI expertise within the tech industry. According to Pluralsight’s recent Artificial Intelligence Skills Report, only 12% of technologists have significant experience with AI technologies. This gap highlights a significant opportunity for growth and improvement in the field, highlighting the importance of platforms such as AI sandboxes that facilitate hands-on learning and experimentation, according to the company.

“To take full advantage of the benefits offered by artificial intelligence, companies must invest in expanding the breadth and depth of technical knowledge in their workforce,” said Greg Ceccarelli, director of product at Pluralsight. “Organizations that take advantage of Pluralsight’s AI sandboxes will have a safe, secure environment to train employees without fear of generating unwanted cloud computing costs or the risk associated with learning in a production environment.”
