Solitaire, also known as Klondike (in the US and Canada), has been around in computerized form since the early 90s. Now you can play Solitaire anywhere on your awesome Android tablet, phone or even iPhone or iPad. So find the right apps when you’re in the mood to play a relaxing game of classic solitaire. Many free mapping apps use ads to keep them afloat, and the frequency of ads makes it difficult to navigate through the app.
Although our guide is limited to free Solitaire apps, some of our selections are supported by advertising. And while you may see ads on some of our top picks, they’re not intrusive enough to get in the way of your Soltaire game.

One of the best free ad-free Solitaire games is the Classic Solitaire Klondike app by PotatoJam. The app doesn’t do anything fancy. It has few customizable options besides setting scores and times and adding heavy deck switching. The app also lets you play two versions of Solitaire, including two common rule sets, one card draw or three card draw.
PotatoJam’s Classic Solitaire Klondike app does not include a hint function. However, it does have an undo button in the top right corner for unlimited retries. The Classic Solitaire Klondike app takes no chances (it has a minimalist design). Sometimes that’s all we want from a relaxing Solitaire game, especially for offline play.

Includes daily challenges and a personal score (found in settings) for a personalized experience. The app features unlimited free replays and free tips for when you get stuck or feel rusty. It also supports offline play.
You can play games with two different sets of rules in Solitaire Mouse Games: Vegas-style and a more difficult version, Klondike, turn three. You’ll get more than you can in Solitaire without intrusive ads getting in the way of your game.

As part of the Microsoft-owned app, you can sign in as a guest or link your Xbox Live profile to the app. Adding your Xbox profile means saving achievements and participating in leaderboards while earning additional Xbox achievements.

Searching for a Solitaire card game in the Play Store can be daunting. Many apps with different developers publish a similar app under the same name. Solitaire by MobilityWare is one of the most consistent classic card game experiences on the Google Play Store. The app includes links to other MobilityWare games, such as FreeCell, Spider and Pyramid (other variants).
MobilityWare’s Solitaire app includes customizable options, such as an added dark mode, the ability to change card faces, backs, and backgrounds, and visual switches for the game screen. You can clean up the visual clutter and hide the score, moves and time, and displayed hints. Sometimes it’s not about playing the classic solitaire game, but about the comprehensive app experience.
You can play the entire app for free on Google Play Pass without losing a dime.

Pyramid Solitaire — Card Games is another excellent Solitaire entry from MobilityWare. If you like the classic Solitaire app from the same publisher, you’ll feel right at home with this one. The UI remains the same with similar settings that you can customize. MobilityWare’s sharp animations and satisfying sound cues return in this version of the app. There are events, daily challenges and a new expedition mode, so you can combine game modes.
You will find applications. You can remove them by downloading the Google Play Pass version. Otherwise, remove them by purchasing a subscription.
6 Get Solitaire TriPeaks

The Tiki Solitaire TriPeaks app has a (tropical) effect. The Solitaire-inspired app is decorated with beautiful animations, almost like playing a match of TriPeaks while lounging on the beach. However, the replayability of Tiki Solitaire TriPeaks is limited. You will use in-game coins to play. You can buy these coins with real money in the cash shop or get them by viewing ads and claiming free daily rewards.
The limit on the number of free matches you can participate in dampens our excitement for this app a bit. However, the app has fantastic benefits. It has a sleek user interface with fun challenges, and ads don’t interrupt the game during a session.
7 Spider Solitaire: card games

Spider Solitaire: Card Games is another MobilityWare application. Like the other MobilityWare Solitaire titles on this list, it features the same buttons for accessing settings, a shortcut for navigating other games, and more. The user interface hasn’t changed from other MobilityWare games and you still have a lot of customization options to play with. In addition to the familiar layout, Spider Solitaire has daily challenges for you to complete.
The app still has ads, similar to other MobilityWare titles. You can pay to get rid of them or play ad-free by downloading the game from Google Play Pass.

The Solitaire Master application is the successor to Solitaire Collection Premium and Lite (another application by Ruben Rebored). This app lets you play a whole collection of card games, including favorites Solitaire, Klondike, Pyramid, Spider, TriPeaks and Yukon. Settings has many custom options, bringing gesture controls, which are great for player accessibility. The only downside is that the app is heavily monetized. To unlock additional game modes, you’ll need Joker currency, which you’ll earn by winning solitaire games or by shopping in the premium store for cash.
The app offers all your favorite solitaire variants in one place as long as you are willing to browse the ads and play to unlock more. Like the other free Solitaire apps on this list, it has achievements, unlimited hints, and an easy-to-access undo button. Apart from monetization, the Solitaire Master app includes all the essential features in the game.
Play classic card games on Android and iOS
Some of the best Android games have a minimalist design. If you take popular classics like Pacman, Tetris, or Solitaire (Klondike) and port them to modern mobile devices, most people will be happy, even if those games remain largely untouched. As the saying goes, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
