Application development software solutions reduce developers’ involvement in tedious coding tasks, improving efficiency, according to 59.3% of respondents.
Washington, April 03, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — GoodFirms, the world-renowned B2B rating and review platform, released its recent research titled “Challenges, Tips and the Future of the Application Development Software Market.” The survey aims to collect some tips, analyze the challenges associated with building, hosting and deploying applications. The research also tries to predict the future of the application development software market.
The GoodFirms survey reveals several factors driving the growth of the application development software market, which include technological advancements, regulatory measures, and customer demands. According to the survey, about 13.7% of respondents said they plan to adopt application development software in the future, while 23.7% have yet to use the software.
This application development software survey also attempted to analyze the factors surveyed companies considered when choosing the right platform for low-code and no-code applications; about 61.9% of respondents prioritized customization, 55.4% of them said it should have seamless integration capabilities, 51.3% cited use cases, 47.6% added scalability, 42.8% mentioned security features, 39.1% opted for the cheaper one.
Limited customizations (64.8%), lack of integration options (59.4%), scalability issues (52.3%), limited freedom of experimentation (51.9%), rigid templates (45.1%), security concerns (38.5%) are the challenges they face using application development software.
GoodFirms also sought to find out the most common reasons for companies to opt for application development software, with the majority 69.4% of companies surveyed citing faster application development, 51.9% of companies opting for agile development methodologies, nearly 47 .3% chose cost reduction, 32.5% cited a reduced backlog, 11.2% lack of technology talent, and less than 8% could not decide on heavy software development.
Regarding the future of the app development software market, the research gathered insights that the integration of low-code/no-code app development platforms with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, AR/VR, Blockchain and 5G will surely lead to advancements and improved performance of application development software.
“In terms of app development costs, the platform comes with different pricing structures such as free, subscription-based pricing, per-user-per-app pricing, usage-based pricing, and enterprise licensing,” GoodFirms’ survey clarified.

About 48.1% of respondents claim that developing mobile applications with software is much faster and cheaper.

For 58.1% of survey respondents, application development software reduced application development costs.
